Peace is Possible

The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace. (Psalm 29:11)

In a world of constant conflict and suffering, is there any hope for peace?

Yes!

In the Bible, God promises that peace is possible. He promises peace so extraordinary that it “surpasses all understanding”.

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)

Through meaningful worship, the study of selected Scriptures, and small group opportunities, we will trust God to help us discover:

  • Peace with God
  • Peace with ourselves
  • Peace with others
  • Peace when our world is shaken
  • Peace with death and dying

Never forget…

If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.…(John 14:15)

Calling for New Choir Members and Musicians

Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! (Psalm 100:2)

Singing is an essential part of our worship of God and is part of every Sunday service at Bent Creek Baptist Church.

In addition, we know that God sings and expresses joy with song. For example, God sings songs of joy about us!

Jerusalem will be told:
    “Don’t be afraid.
Dear Zion,
    don’t despair.
Your God is present among you,
a strong Warrior there to save you.
Happy to have you back, he’ll calm you with his love
and delight you with his songs.  (Zephaniah 3:17)

The Bent Creek Baptist music ministry has opportunities for new choir members and musicians.

Sing with joy for our Lord.

• Needed: Greeters on Sunday Mornings

It’s not our job to self-judge the value of our gifts and abilities. They’re all important because they are gifts from the Holy Spirit. In fact, research into the evangelistic activities of Southern Baptist churches confirms the blessings associated with a broad range of outreach and evangelistic activities as they relate to church growth — among these is stationing greeters at the entrance to the church.

NEEDED!!! VOLUNTEER GREETERS ON SUNDAY MORNINGS

Please sign up at the Information Desk if you are interested!
