COVID-19 UPDATE 3/13/2020

Dear Church Family,

We are having church on Sunday. While we are delaying the celebration of Preschool Sunday, we will have a regular Sunday School and Worship service. Also, we will have a special family meeting after the service regarding the Pastor search. If you aren’t able to attend, please let us know and we will get the information to you.

In light of COVID-19, We are taking preventative measures to limit the spread of germs and hope that you will join us in that effort. To that end, here are some things to consider:

  • Please limit greetings to friendly waves.

  • Hand sanitizers are in several locations around the church and every Sunday School classroom. Please use them.

  • The offering plate will not be passed around. You may give your tithe and offerings at a clearly marked location.

  • If you are sick, have had a fever within the last 24 hours, have a compromised immune system or may have been exposed to someone with any illness, please protect yourself and your church family by staying home. We will work with you to get audio of sermons or curriculum as needed.

On our part:

  • We will be cleaning touch surfaces (door handles, countertops, etc.) frequently to keep surfaces as clean as possible.

  • We will keep external doors open so you don’t need to touch them (as possible).

If the virus becomes more widespread and has significant impacts on Buncombe County, we may have to institute measures such as:

  • Cancelling Sunday School, or Wednesday night services.

  • Going to 2 smaller services (e.g., 9:30 and 11:00 a.m.)

  • Cancelling Sunday Worship will be a last resort. We are looking into alternatives to get out the messages if this happens.

Again, the situation is changing quickly. Please bear with us. We will do our best to keep you informed. You can call the church office for updates.
