Knowing Who’s First

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (John 14:27)

Here’s something to remember whenever you’re confronted by an issue in your life.

You are a Christian, first.

Your identity gives perspective to all life issues. God is first in your life. He is the source of your strength. His love endures forever.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)

Another option is shown in the photo, but when you fail or hit a wall (and you will), it can be devastating.

Recognize what’s first, with the confidence that He will never fail you. Do this and all life issues become manageable — technicalities to attend to.

The secret to life? Never forget who’s first.
